As one of Northern Ireland’s leading agricultural co-operatives UFBP takes great pride in the provision of high service levels to the local farming community.
Since the introduction of the ban on the burial of on-farm fallen stock, UFBP have been a key player in finding efficient and practical solutions to issues surrounding fallen stock for the agricultural sector within Northern Ireland.
National Fallen Stock Scheme
We are approved by the National Fallen Stock Company (NFSCo) to provide a collection and disposal service for fallen animals in Northern Ireland. This scheme offers farmers an opportunity to utilise a subsidised collection service dedicated to fallen stock.

Over 24 Months Scheme
UFBP currently provide a free to farmer collection service for those animals that die on farm over the age of 24 months. This is a Government funded scheme and is key to the continued surveillance of BSE in cattle.

Scrapie Monitored Flocks Surveillance (SMFS)
UFBP currently provide a free to farmer collection service for those animals in Scrapie monitored flocks that die on farm over the age of 18 months. This is a Government funded scheme and is key to the continued surveillance of TSE.
